Here are the majority of infants who attended St Michael’s Voluntary Controlled School, South Lynn, in April 1984.
The headmistress was Mrs Janet Parkes, who firmly believed in involving parents and the local community in the school’s curriculum. Twice every term parents were invited to join the school in special assemblies and some parents were helping with reading and art.
At Christmas and harvest time pupils entertained the local over-60s club and the Wednesday lunch-time club.
Also on the staff was teacher Miss Helen Brittain and welfare assistant Mrs Marjorie Whiley.
