Developers should be given more time to complete legal agreements for a proposed housing development in Great Bircham, planners say.
The scheme for 10 homes at Longmeadow on Fring Road was approved by West Norfolk Council’s planning committee last October, subject to contracts relating to affordable housing being drawn up.
But the committee will be asked to review when it meets next Monday, as a deal has yet to be reached.
Officials have urged members to allow a further three months to complete the necessary contracts, as negotiations with the developer, Benton Builders, have begun.
Their report said: “it would make no sense to refuse the application at this stage.”
The original plan was backed by parish councillors, though they called for tighter speed limits on the nearby B1153.
