The Costal Bikers Group created lots of ‘eggcitement’ amongst the children at RAF Marham on Sunday when more than 60 of the group arrived bearing Easter eggs for all of the children who had a parent deployed away on operations.
The group started their journey in Peterborough, riding in convoy via Wisbech where they collected more eggs from local businesses.
The sight of so many bikers then arriving at RAF Marham, led by a trike towing a trailer full of Easter eggs, created much excitement amongst all the assembled children who had been patiently waiting in the community centre. As the bikers had collected more eggs than they had expected they arranged the assistance of Norfolk Green who provided a coach to follow the group carrying the surplus eggs. They were met by the Station Commander, Group Capt Harvey Smyth who welcomed them all in and thanked them on behalf of all of the Marham families for their kindness and generosity. He also presented the organiser, Victoria Wilson, with a Station Commander’s Commendation.
