A village school has become the latest in West Norfolk to become an academy.
The Mundford Church of England Primary School made the switch last week, under the sponsorship of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust.
An official opening ceremony was also performed by the Bishop of Lynn, the Rt Rev Jonathan Meyrick, on Wednesday.
Although it has been controversial politically, academy status does give schools greater freedom over how they spend their money.
School leaders say the change will help them to continue to improve the opportunities they are able to provide for pupils and give greater development support.
The school was rated as good when it was last assessed by Ofsted inspectors in the spring.
