Villagers turned out in force at the weekend to help raise hundreds of pounds for the Swaffham and Litcham Home Hospice.
Residents of Narborough enjoyed tea, coffee, food and music during the event at the village’s community centre in Chalk Lane on Sunday, which raised £626.04 for the cause.
The event was organised by the centre’s committee and member Rita Hennessy, pictured above, front left, was delighted with the response of villagers.
She feels the success of the event shows the high regard in which the charity, which helps many residents in the village, is held in the community.
She said: “We didn’t expect to do that. It was fantastic.
“We’ve done other things, car boots and craft fairs and taken just over £100 but, something like this, they will donate to, which is nice.”
Fellow committee members Brenda Sands, back, third left, and Maureen Birchell, front, fourth right, are also pictured above during the event, alongside other helpers and supporters.
