Narford’s Crane Garden Buildings have scooped a 5-star Tradestand Award for the third year running at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
This year’s tradestand for the timber buildings manufacturer see’s the display focused around their Garden Room with Veranda, which is a rustic, country style timber building with an apex roof, weatherboard cladding, and it has been painted in French grey, one of the colours from the Farrow & Ball exterior paint range.
To go with the rustic style of the building and its natural colouring, national sales manager, Peter Mortin, decided to enhance it further with beautiful, bold colours in the garden created to surround it.
These bright colours have been inspired by Peter’s walks in the Norfolk countryside: he has used silver birch trees to add height, as well as to build the natural walling that surrounds the flower beds, and some of the wonderful colours come from Phlox Fabulous blue violet, Iris White City andGeranium Pink Pouffe, among many more.
When speaking about the garden, Peter said: “My intention here is to allow people to see what they can do with their own gardens.
“We want our display to inspire, and we hope that we have achieved that.”
The visitors of Chelsea are not the only people who will be able to enjoy these beautiful plants, for once the display is taken down at the end of this week, they will all be making their way over to the Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House.
Last year, Cranes helped to design and create the gardens at Hillington, and these plants will help to finish off the garden for the patients and their families to enjoy.
Nick and James Crane, the company partners, said: “We are very pleased with the outcome of this year’s display.
“Our brilliant team have done a great job, as usual, and we are just happy thatthe plants will go on to be enjoyed after the show is over.”
