Springside, the only KLAA venue which was open, has again seen a few anglers visiting the bank, writes Darren Reed.

Carp to 12lb have been recorded from the margin swims when offering corn as a hook bait. Method feeder has again been the more rewarding when targeting the carp.

Tench to 5lb have also been showing on the method when presenting maggot on the hook. Perch, roach and rudd are also starting to show when fishing the waggler or pole and whip when offering maggot, pinkie and bread punch.

KLAA permits for 2015/16 can now be purchased from all the local tackle shops. Prices are on the website: www.klaa.co.uk

Could all members be aware that the new rule of unhooking mats to be used on all KLAA still waters comes into force from April 1 as the new season starts.

Shipshape tackle are selling a discounted unhooking mat for £5.99 for anyone purchasing a KLAA permit from them, or 10% discount off any other unhooking mat that they purchase.

Anglers Corner has moved to its new location: Unit 8, Horsleys Field, next to the new fire station. Free parking for all its customers.
