A woman from West Norfolk has admitted plotting to supply class A drugs.

Claire Godden, 36, of Thorpe Terrace, Nordelph, pleaded guilty to a single charge of conspiracy to supply cocaine during a hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday.

She had been due to go on trial this week for her part in a major drug supply ring, which is said to have spread across Essex, Hertfordshire and Norfolk.

However, Godden, who had previously denied the charge, changed her plea to guilty as the case, which had been expected to last four weeks, was about to open.

She will be sentenced at a later date.
