Sedgeford’s Boneyard Field is the setting for a production of “Doin different – the history (and archaeology) of Norfolk through ballads”.

This is being staged next Wednesday, July 27, from 7.30pm.

Author Gareth Calway, actor David Norfolk and musicians Anto Morra and Vanessa Wood-Davies will take you on a fascinating historical journey.

From the early Bronze Age barrows and Boudicca through badass King John and medieval mystics Margery Kempe of Lynn and Julian of Norwich, to Anne Boleyn of Blickling, Roger L’Estrange of Hunstanton, Tom Paine of Thetford, Fanny Burney of Lynn and the OM of Cromer.

This is a musical realisation of the Poppyland book “Doin different, 39 new ballads from the East of England”, on sale online, in Waterstones, Jarrold’s and from Poppyland publishing.

Tickets £12, to include an interval buffet and wine, are available in advance from Kevin Vinnie Claxton or Alison on the site or Gareth Calway at Ancyrian Cottage (opposite the old village hall) in Sedgeford on 01485 571828.
