A man accused of possessing and distributing indecent images of children has appeared in court for a second time.

Andrew Bayliss, 30, of Priory Lane, North Wootton, appeared before Norwich Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on Thursday.

He was charged with four counts of possessing indecent or prohibited images of children and appeared before magistrates in Lynn for an initial hearing last month.

He also faces an additional count of distributing indecent images of children and an allegation of possessing an extreme pornographic image.

All of the alleged offences, which Bayliss has not yet indicated pleas to, are said to have been committed in Lynn over a period of almost 18 months between April 8, 2013, and August 16 last year.

The case has now been adjourned until June 17, when a plea and case management hearing has been scheduled to take place at Norwich Crown Court.

Bayliss remains on unconditional bail until his next court appearance.
