A military charity’s base was filled with laughter and yodelling when revellers drank steins of beer and tucked into wurst and frites for an Oktoberfest-themed fundraiser.
Saturday’s event raised £300 for the Bridge for Heroes charity, and was such a success it is now set to become an annual event.
Charity founder Mike Taylor said the fundraiser, held at The General Dannatt Contact Centre on South Clough Lane, Lynn, was organised in just 10 days.
“It went really well and was just so funny,” he said. “Everyone kept saying it could be a really big event, and with more time to organise it, I definitely think it can.”
