Online protection was top of the agenda for students at Swaffham’s Nicholas Hamond Academy as it staged a programme of activities marking Safer Internet Day.

Pupils in years seven, eight and nine took part in the initiative, which included a presentation by police, discussions and the preparation of a series of video documentaries on the subject.

The films will be further edited and used to promote the safety message over the coming months.

A school spokesman said: “We are confident that our students have the safe way to use the internet firmly embedded in their minds and will share this with their friends and families.”
