A meeting will be held in Fakenham next month in a bid to help re-form a Lions club in the town.

Residents are being invited to attend an open evening to be held at the Fakenham Bowling Centre on Tuesday May 3 at 7pm in order to find out more and to sign up.

The campaign is being led by members of the Swaffham Lions club, which has enjoyed a significant increase in its membership in recent times.

The Lions movement is open to men and women and is a worldwide organisation intended to serve the needs of the local community as well as supporting national charities.

In recent months, Lions clubs have helped to supply funds and equipment to help with the floods in the North of England and the earthquake in Nepal.
