LETTER:People were so generous

We hear about the ‘cup of human kindness’ and I certainly found it overflowed at a food collection for FareShare last week”!

As a Red Cross volunteer I helped to collect donations of food at Tesco in Gaywood.

FairShare is a national charity which collects excess perishable food from major supermarkets and then re-distributes it.

Twice a year they ask the public to donate tinned or packaged food to supplement the perishable food.

I was amazed at the generosity of people and by the end of my morning shift there was a trolley load!

I’d never had so much fun in a supermarket and my cup was full.
