Roger Death wrote (Lynn News, March 18) that I was like Arthur Scargill and sincere and well-meaning, but out of touch with the real world.
I very much live in the real world, struggling to pay bills, meet mortgage payments, manage the weekly shop and put petrol in my car, like millions of others trying to get by.
Mr Death believes that we can’t afford to spend money on the valuable services I campaign to defend, but we remain one of the richest countries in the world.
I suggest that if our MP concentrated on making the world of commerce and big business pay the correct amount of tax, then we’d have no problem funding services, which would create employment, put money in people’s pockets and boost the tourist industry.
In that respect i am a typical left wing activist and proud to be so.
