A youth variety night saw singers and dancers from five to 15 performing at the Princess Theatre in Hunstanton on Friday at the annual Oscars.
The night is a celebration organised by Michelle Rollason as part of the Hunstanton and District Festival of Arts.
Showcasing award winners from the recent Dance Festival at the Town Hall, the event was compared by Sean Rollason and Steve Barclay.
The night included ballet, tap, modern and street dancing, plus choral numbers, starting with a stellar performance from the youngsters from Rollason Stage School, with their rendition of Stay With Me and followed later in the programme with songs from the highly popular Disney movie, Frozen.
Highlights of the evening included dancers from Fakenham’s First Academy of Dance with India Ellis’ and Olivia Crane’s tap duet to a re-mix of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony and their atmospheric modern duet that closed the show.
There was also exciting street dancing from Tommy Rollason, Macy Hodgson and John Bristow from the Rollason Stage School, plus a charming song and dance routine by Danielle Harrowing and Lucy Elsegood.
All this first-class entertainment was interspersed with medal presentations for each of the performers.
An escapology act from Sean Rollason involving an unsuspecting member of the audience was brilliant and equalled his ventriloquist act from the previous year’s show.
Attending the Oscar’s Night, Hunstanton mayor Andrew Murray said: “When I bought my ticket I wasn’t quite sure what to expect so I was delighted to see the many talented local singers and dancers performing to such a high standard.”
