A pensioner has been airlifted to hospital after falling from a shed roof.

The Magpas Helimedix was called to Tuxhill Road, Terrington St Clement, after a man in his late 70s had fallen 12ft from a shed roof earlier today (Wednesday, August 19).

He has been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, with suspected back and shoulder injuries.

The helicopter as crewed by Dr Nick Foster with paramedic Dan Read with pilot Richard Eastwood and crew member Steve Hunwicks.

The East of England Ambulance service also attended the incident, which was reported at 11.15am.
