Proposals to revive a historic judicial position for Lynn have been supported by councillors.

West Norfolk Council has been invited to reinstate the post of Honorary Recorder of King’s Lynn.

The move follows the return of crown court cases to Lynn earlier this year.

Members backed the plan during last Thursday’s full council meeting.

It is expected that Judge Nicholas Coleman, who sits most often in Lynn, will be invited to take up the position.
