Motorists have been warned to be vigilant against would-be thieves following three raids on vehicles at the weekend.

A handbag was stolen in the first incident, on Gayton Road, Gaywood, between 1.20 and 1.40pm on Saturday.

An iPad Touch was then stolen from a vehicle in Courtnell Place, on the Springwood estate, between noon and 1.45pm on Sunday.

Another handbag was stolen in an incident in Wolferton at around 6.30pm on Sunday.

West Norfolk police commander, Supt Dennis Lacey, said: “This is a seasonal crime which we start to see an increase of when the good weather appears and people start parking in rural beauty spots and in remote locations.

“Always think twice about what you really need to take with you if you are parking somewhere remote, and never leave anything in your car. Even if you think it’s well hidden, thieves know where to look.”

Anyone with information about any of the above incidents should contact police on 101.
