A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and has been released on police bail until July 21 pending further investigations.

Police searched the van at about 3.30am after receiving reports of a vehicle potentially containing drugs.

The van was also seized as part of the investigation.

West Norfolk’s Supt Dennis Lacey said: “Some good work by my officers lead to the recovery of approximately £6,000 worth of cannabis and suspected cocaine in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

“A 37 year-old male has been arrested and is currently on bail pending forensic analysis of the items seized.

“Investigations like these do take some time to resolve as we now always look to seize assets as well as illegal substances.”
