Police have issued an alert to houseowners after a suspected rogue trader called at an address in Whitepot Road at Methwold Hythe offering tarmac services.

The property owner agreed to have work carried out only for the workers to return later and demand more money than was originally agreed.

It follows a similar incident on Monday in Great Dunham where workers demanded more money for tarmac work than previously agreed.

Police are urging residents and business owners to be on their guard should anyone cold call at their property.
