William Nunn has been elected as the new leader of Breckland Council following nomination by the local Conservative group and a meeting of full council.
Councillor Nunn is no stranger to the role having previously served as leader for eight years from 2005 to 2013.
He continued to serve as a councillor whilst increasing his involvement in Local Government Authority (LGA) peer work and spending more time with his family in the district.
On his election, Mr Nunn said: “We have an exciting agenda of change ahead of us and I am ready again to lead a council I have served as an elected member since 1995.
“Since I was last the leader much has changed at a local, regional and national level. I have also gained some valuable knowledge and experience through national peer work and can use this to provide a different perspective.”
