A pollution scare in Hunstanton has been blamed on dirty water mixed with soil.

Concerns had been raised on Friday after the substance was seen flowing down the resort’s cliffs and onto the beach below.

West Norfolk Council officers were sent to investigate and later reported there was nothing to worry about.

The authority said on its Twitter feed: “Dirty water with soil in it has been put into sewer causing the issue.”
