The Post Office is to open a new local service at RAF Marham latter this month which offers an extra 50 hours a month opening.
Service will be provided at an open-plan counter in the store on the airbase.
Post Office services will be available during the store’s opening hours of 7am-9pm Monday to Friday and 8am-9pm at weekends.
This is an extra 50 hours a week, including all day Sunday and Saturday afternoon. the branch will open significantly earlier and will close much later.
Online banking, home shoppoing, special delivery and Moneygram will all be on offer.
The branch will open at 1pm on Tuesday, January 19, having been closed for the morning.
Kevin Shepherd, area manager for the Post Office, said; “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
“We are confident this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.
“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future. The investment marks a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
