Prince William piloted an East Anglian Air Ambulance helicopter which landed at a school in Lynn this morning.
At around 10.30am the helicopter landed at Whitefriars Primary Academy playing fields to attend a casualty nearby.
Onlooker Jamie Croxtall said: “The air ambulance was looking for somewhere to land so they chose the school playing fields.
“The kids loved it.”
The Duke of Cambridge made it back in time for the Queen’s opening of the new air ambulance base at Cambridge airport later on in the morning.
He gave his grandmother a tour around the new base for East Anglian Air Ambulance, for which he has worked since March 2015.
