An investigation has been launched after a man was seriously injured during a crash on the main road around West Norfolk’s coast at the weekend.
The man, who is in his mid-20s and thought to be from the Lynn area, was a passenger in a silver Vauxhall Vectra which collided with a fence and tree on the A149 Cromer Road, Hunstanton, shortly after 1am on Saturday.
The vehicle had been travelling from Old Hunstanton towards Hunstanton when the incident happened.
A Norfolk Police spokesman said the man suffered serious neck, shoulder and internal injuries.
He is said to be in a serious, but comfortable, condition in Addenbrooke’s’ Hospital, Cambridge.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, also from the Lynn area, suffered minor facial injuries and bruising.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at around 9.50pm.
