The Queen paid a visit to Phobbies, the Dersingham-based club for adults with physical disabilities on Thursday, February 5.
Chairwoman Marguerite Wright introduced her to president Ann Butler and vice-chairman Cyril Critchett before she met all the members and spoke to them about the items they were making. Her Majesty admired their work, asked lots of questions and commented on the skills needed to create many of the items on display.
Shirley Wilson, the longest-serving member of the club that is now in its 30th year, was chosen to present a posy to the Queen and Ann Butler thanked Her Majesty for visiting them saying it was a wonderful start to their 30th anniversary celebrations.
