RAF Marham’s 31 Squadron was presented with a new Squadron standard in a special ceremony held at the base last week.
The Band of the RAF Regiment led in the parade of personnel as they escorted in the old standard which was paraded in front of a crowd of friends, family and local dignitaries before being retired and replaced.
Wng Cmdr Rich Yates, officer commanding 31 Squadron, said: “It is a great privilege for the Squadron to receive a new standard.”
The new standard was presented by Air Marshal Bagwell, who received the outgoing standard in 1986 as a young Flying Officer.
31 Squadron is due to return to Afghanistan later this year as the final squadron deployed as part of Operation Herrick.
