This year’s RAF Marham family and friends day has been hailed a great sucess for the Marham Military Wives Choir. With the aim to raise £500 for a new keyboard, the women baked and worked hard to get a stall ready for the day. Rosanne Keates and Rebecca Bartholomew who organised the stall and are the choir’s fundraisers secured raffle prizes that included spa days and other gifts from local companies. Rosanne said: “We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of local businesses small and large who have supported us. We’re delighted to reach our fundraising target with just one even.”
There was also a wine tombola, pick a lolly and guess the name of the dog on the stall which was manned by choir members. Lexy Kane was the resident tattoo artist with glitter tattooing young and old thoughout the day! In total they raised £506.02.
The choir is now in its third year after being founded following the award winning programme The Choir: Military Wives featuring Gareth Malone. They have performed for many local charities and companies over the years and hope to see you at some future events.
