A popular restaurant and museum which was damaged in a fire is hoped to re-open later this week.
Marriott’s Warehouse in Lynn’s South Quay was evacuated on Thursday last week after a fire broke out in the kitchens, just weeks after it was flooded in the tidal surge.
Malcolm Catlin, who owns the restaurant with Andrew Hornigold, said the damage is limited to a small area in the kitchen and hopes to re-open later this week as repairs are underway.
He said: “We are hoping it will be a short period of closure.
“There was a limited area of fire damage in the kitchen which is to be replaced and that’s thanks to the way the fire brigade tackled it so quickly. They did a brilliant job as did our staff.
“We have had lots of jokes about plagues of locusts.”
