Commuters in West Norfolk are facing delays on the roads and rail network this morning.
Tailbacks of up to a mile are being reported on the A47 in Middleton, where temporary traffic lights are in place.
A manhole cover was exposed yesterday afternoon when the road surface around it sank. The road was closed for a time while engineers assessed the problem, but was re-opened at around 6.45pm.
Meanwhile, signalling problems are causing delays of up to 30 minutes to train services to and from Lynn.
Although the lines are understood to have re-opened shortly before 8am, Great Northern, the main operator of passenger services in the area, has warned that disruption is likely to continue until 10am.
