JAMES CASE from Wells Sailing Club took the Lionel Wilkinson Memorial Trophy for the second year running at Snettisham Beach Sailing Club.

There were 25 dinghies from Haversham SC in Buckinghamshire, Hykeham SC near Lincoln as well as the more local clubs of Hunstanton, Wells and the Ouse

The Laser 2000 of Fergus and Laura Barnham made the best of the conditions in the first race but the subsequent race went to James Case from Wells. The leaderboard at the end of the first day saw James in first place, Nigel Blake second and Fergus and Laura third, but only a point between them and all to sail for on Sunday.

Jasper and Finley Barnham won the first race with Case in his Phantom not far behind. The second race also went to Jasper and Finley as the wind became even wilder.

Such varying winds over the weekend saw the remaining top five places well deserved; 2nd Fergus and Laura Barnham (SBSC) 3rd Geoff Tucker (Haversham SC) 4th Paul Norris and Jo Bland (SBSC) 5th David Crossman and Rosie/Kate Charnley.
