Three Explorer Scouts from Sandringham have been rewarded for their hard work with awards. Trudy Cooper and Holly Bowan were given a platinum award, which involved executing a two-day expedition, involving two eight-hour hikes. Flynn Geraghty gained his diamond award with a three-day solo expedition, involving cooking and navigation skills. Paul Tomlinson, leader of the Sandringham Explorers, said: “I could not be more proud of them. All three have done us proud.” The unit has gone to strength to strength recently and now plays host to an average of 24 teenagers It meets at Wolferton Scout and Guide hut on Monday, 7-9pm and is for ages 14-18.
