Dogs and their owners will be able to get into the festive spirit by taking part in a fancy dress walk in Lynn over the weekend.
London Marathon runner Lisa Morton has organised the Santa Paws event in The Walks, at the Tennyson Road entrance, on Sunday from 10.30am.
The walk, which is just under two miles, will be raising money for Muffin Pug Rescue along with Mrs Morton’s charity, Arthritis Care.
Mrs Morton, who lives in Fincham, needs to raise at least £2,000 before running the 26 mile course on Sunday, April 24.
The festive themed walk will be setting off at 11am but owners are urged to arrive at 10.30am for registration, near Lynn Town Football Club.
All dogs must remain on a lead and there will be collection buckets on the day.
Jurrasic Bark Pet Supplies, which is sponsoring Mrs Morton, has also offered a prize for the best dressed dog. Plus a raffle will also be held.
Mrs Morton, who is pug owner, completed the marathon four years ago and is hoping to beat her time of 5hrs and 30 minutes.
Mrs Morton said: “Arthritis is a disease that affects my family so I thought I would be crazy enough to run it again.
“Last time it was an unknown for me but this time I know exactly how difficult it can be.
“But it is worth it.
“They are putting a lot of time and effort into trying to find a cure for arthritis.
“I would like to raise awareness of the condition. It can also can affect young people.”
