Progress was made on the campaign for a new coastal path road linking Hunstanton and Lynn when a senior county councillor visited the seaside town’s Heritage Centre last week.
Toby Coke, Chairman of the Environment, Development and Transport Committee at Norfolk County Council visited members of the Hunstanton and District Civic Society at the Heritage Centre on Wednesday.
Hearing about the route of the former King’s Lynn to Hunstanton railway Toby Coke said: “Obviously this route needs to come to the Environment, Development and Transport Committee and I will be pushing for it’s adoption as part of the new route, but bypassing those parts that have already been developed.
“The A149 is heavily congested, particularly in the summer months and finding alternative routes between the two centres is ever more important.”
