Some bus services to and from Lynn have been disrupted today because bollards which stand at either end of the town’s bus lane have been vandalised.

County roads officials say the damage to Hardings Way has now been repaired and the issue has been reported to the police.

However, Stagecoach Norfolk say their 46 and 505 services, which use the route, are unable to serve the nearby Millfleet stop because of the damage.

Earlier, the company said they were having to divert the services along London Road, warning of potential delays for passengers as a result.

The route, which is currently only open to buses, cyclists and pedestrians, has bollards at each end which retract to allow buses fitted with recognition technology to use it.

Earlier this year, a review was launched into whether the route should be opened up to additional traffic.
