A team of staff from a South Wootton care home have put their best foot forward to help raise more than £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The group, who are all care assistants at the Lower Farm nursing home in Grimston Road, South Wootton, took part in a sponsored walk from Lynn to Hunstanton last Friday in aid of the charity.

Organiser Angie Addis, pictured right, said the idea had developed out of a coffee morning held at the home last autumn.

A similar event is planned for July and a further fundraising walk will also take place next year.
