The Friends of the King’s Lynn Citizen Advice Bureau held their annual quiz night at South Wootton Village Hall.

The quiz, which was organised before the recent announcement of the CAB’s potential closure, was well attended and more than £550 was raised on the night.

Twenty teams of between four and six people took part with The Odd Jobs coming out on top.

A number of people present signed a petition against the closure of the CAB in Lynn town centre.

Ros Harre, chair of the group which was set up six years ago, said: “There was a good turnout and the main topic of conversation was about how angry and disappointed people are about the potential closure.

“We will try to support the on-going service with the money raised or potentially a physical space.

“If the CAB does close then the money will be used to support other services in King’s Lynn.”
