Youngsters at a village school have been finding out how to do their bit for the environment and earning themselves an award in the process.

Pupils from the South Wootton Infant School are pictured above having achieved a bronze Eco award for their work.

The children have set up an eco group, through which they take part in regular litter picks, recycle old clothes and carry out environment surveys.

They have also composed a song to promote green ideas and the school is even investing in automatic lights in some of its rooms in order to help save energy.
