Southery Academy’s school council organised a pyjama day and cake sale to raise money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

The children raised £124.55 from their fundraising efforts and principal Julian Goodrum said: “It was great for their efforts to be acknowledged by EACH.

“It makes me proud that our children chose this worthwhile cause on their own and then organised the fundraising as well.

“Our academy council are taking an increasing role in the development of the academy and this is an excellent example of their personal development.”
