Members of the West Norfolk Rugby Club under nines team swapped the pitch for the factory as they had a go at making their own Christmas baubles.
The squad, pictured above, visited the Caithness Crystal visitor centre on the Hardwick Industrial Estate on Monday.
The firm sponsors one of the club’s junior teams and the trip was arranged as a Christmas treat for the youngsters by their coach David Clarke and his wife Kelly, the team manager.
Fourteen players and seven of their brothers and sisters took part in the experience. They were guided and helped in creating the baubles by master glassmaker Beaver Bone.
Mr Clarke said: “We wanted to show the boys the home of our sponsors and give them an experience they would remember.
“We also wanted to make sure they had something they could take home so Christmas baubles that they had blown themselves seemed a great idea.”
Mrs Clarke added: “The boys had really been looking forward to it and were full of energy and excitement during the visit.”
