There will be some spooky goings on at The Shed Skatepark at Alive Lynnsport tomorrow night.
The venue is hosting a Spooky Skatenight – a Halloween Jam offering a variety of fun activities.
The event, which has been organised by Alive Leisure, will also include a consultation element as staff will encourage users to complete an online survey to help build up their case for Sport England funding.
Peter Lemon, chairman of Alive Leisure, explained: “We submitted an initial bid to Sport England earlier this year which was unsuccessful.
“However, the feedback we received was very positive and we feel confident it is worth resubmitting our bid for the next round of funding. “
Saturday’s event, which costs £3 per person, starts at 6pm and finishes at midnight.
In addition to the normal activities within The Shed there will be Halloween-themed fun, a DJ and a prize for the best fancy dress.
Councillor David Pope, cabinet member for ICT, leisure and public space, said: “We really want people to come along and have some fun and find out about the facilities we already have on offer.
“But we also want them to take part in our online survey and tell us what we could do that would make The Shed an even better place that would result in more use and greater take up of extreme sports.”
