Lynn-based St Katherines Court have gone one better than last year by winning a community garden competition.

The sheltered and retirement housing centre won the event, which is run by Broadland Housing and covers all of Norfolk and North Suffolk, after finishing as runners-up in 2014.

Resident Dee Fowler said: “Most tenants are able to do very little gardening but enjoy walking through the various sections of widely varied plants, shrubs and hanging baskets.

“It’s worth it to see the joy it brings to the tenants. We don’t do it to win competitions, we do it because we love gardening.”

St Katherines Court have also entered the West Norfolk Council front garden competition and Anglia In Bloom.
