A group of 18-25 year olds have spruced up a garden at Lynn nursing home Goodwins Hall, which was handed back over to the home on Friday.

Eight students from the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Youth Development turned the space from a “pile of mud” into a garden with plants, herbs and trees so that the residents can now spend time gardening.

Team leader Kerry Rutherford said: “It’s a great achievement, I’m so proud of the group.”
