Six groups are tuning up for the KL.FM and Twisted Melon Battle Of The Bands final being staged at Downham on Sunday.

And there’s all to play for, with Festival Too gigs on offer for the winner and runner-up.

Triston Finnis, of Twisted Melon, reports: “During the last six months more than 40 bands have competed through eight heats.

“Then we had the on-air semi- final showcased by KL.FM where fans voted for their three favourite acts while the judges added a further three for our six act final.

“The fans vote gave us On The Level, Fazed and The B-Sides while our judging panel added Morganway, Kingdom Keys and Arias Echo.

“All six acts now perform a 30-minute set to our judging panel made up of music and media industry professionals and VIPs.

“The runner-up will perform Festival Too on Saturday, July 4, supporting Heaven 17.

“The winner will perform at the finale of Festival Too on Saturday, July 11, supporting The Fratellis; the winning
act also receives prizes including recording time with Capsize Audio Productions, a photo shoot and band merchandise.

Sunday’s semi-final starts at 3pm at Downham Market Town Hall.

All ages are welcome and tickets are only £3, which can be purchased from the website www.twistedmelon.
