A Swaffham catering firm is planning to swap chef’s hats for wigs in a bid to raise funds for a children’s cancer charity.
Staff at Edwards and Blake are taking part in next week’s Wig Wednesday to support CLIC Sargent.
Company founder Shirley Edwards said: “This with be the second time we’ve signed up to Wig Wednesday and everyone is really looking forward to getting wiggy with it again for this brilliant cause!.
“We support CLIC Sargent because their nurses and social workers do an amazing job supporting children, young people and their families with cancer through the hardest of times.
“We want to do our bit too whenever we can.”
In 2014, the company raised £500 by selling wig-themed cakes and sweets to staff and earlier this year made a donation of over £800 raised from the sale of school Christmas meals.
Daisy Turner, CLIC Sargent fundraising manager, said: “We are so grateful to all the staff and customers at Edwards & Blake for being such great sports.
“They are making a real difference to the lives of the 70 young cancer patients and their families living in Norfolk.”
