The bank also helped former co-owner Andrea Coulson to purchase the remaining 50 per cent of the specialist opticians following the retirement of her business partner and the company’s namesake, David A Seaman.

By providing a six-figure term loan, HSBC enabled Andrea to become the sole shareholder in the business and reinvest funds into its development.
So far she has invested in a new retinal imaging machine, which allows for early detection of many serious eye conditions, and has developed the contact lens side of the business too.
