Glorious sunny weather helped a Swaffham care home’s annual summer event become one of the biggest and best yet.
The grounds of Holmwood House Care Centre were bathed in sunshine and decked with bunting and Union Jack flags when its popular summer fete was held earlier this month.
Visitors flocked to the White Cross Road venue, and a bumper £2,050 was raised for its residents’ fund.
Opened by Swaffham mayor Anne Thorpe, the day included fun for all the family, with attractions such as a fun dog show and live entertainment from ‘Waddo’ and Swaffham Jazz Band.
There were also children’s races and a host of stalls to browse.
The home’s deputy manager Terri Drew said: “A very big thank you msist go to all the local businesses who donated prizes and to everyone for all their help and support.”
