Tattersett: Death crash appeal renewed

POLICE are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a fatal crash at Tattersett.

One woman died and two others travelling in the same vehicle were seriously injured in the crash, which took place at around 5.40am on Monday, March 1 on the A148 Lynn to Fakenham road at the junction

with the B1454.

Their burgundy red Renault Megane was in collision with a JCB tractor. The women, all Latvian nationals, were on their way to work at Fakenham Laundry Services.

The JCB driver, who was uninjured, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but released on police bail without charge the next day.

The woman who died at the scene was a passenger in the Renault . She was aged in her 50s but has not yet been named.

Two other female passengers were seriously injured. A 40-year-old woman taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious head injuries has been described as in a critical but stable condition. A 27-year-old

woman taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Lynn, has been described as serious but stable. The 39-year-old female driver of the Megane suffered less serious injuries.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the incident. The Megane had been travelling from the Lynn area towards Fakenham. The JCB had been travelling from the Tatterford direction.
