A pupil has received a top school award in recognition of his academic improvements.

Ben Butters was presented with the Terrington St Clement Community School’s Shipp award, which is presented annually by school governor Clive Shipp and his wife, Julie.

Headteacher Liz Hackett said nine-year-old Ben, pictured above received the award, found learning difficult, but added: “During the course of the year he’s been prepared to take more and more risks and with that he’s had more and more success.”
